Hela Barhoush, MD
Pediatric Medicine

Dr. Hela Barhoush studied International Relations at Wellesley College before earning her medical degree at Saint George’s University. She believes in partnering with families to offer the best, holistic care for children and prioritizes shared decision making. Dr. Barhoush completed her pediatric residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. She is also a Certified Lactation Counselor and is passionate about supporting families through their feeding journey. She enjoys outdoor adventure, travel, cooking, and spending time with family. She lives outside of NYC with her husband and two children.

Hadi Halazun, MD
Internal Medicine & Cardiology

Dr. Halazun earned his bachelor’s degree at Brown University before attending Columbia University’s College of Physicians & Surgeons earning both the Leonard Tow and Arnold Gold humanism awards. Following medical school, he completed his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and stayed on for two years as Assistant Professor of Medicine with the hospitalist group. Dr. Halazun completed his fellowship in Cardiology at Mount Sinai Heart and served as chief during his final year. Prior to joining Private Medical, he worked as assistant professor in Cardiology at Weill Cornell-New York Presbyterian.

Samreen Hasan, MD
Internal Medicine

Dr. Hasan grew up in Wyoming and moved east to attend Brown University. After college, she worked at the Center for Immigrant Health at NYU and was inspired to pursue a career in medicine. Following medical school at UCSF, Dr. Hasan was awarded the Zuckerman Fellowship to study health policy and management at Harvard University, where she earned a master’s degree in public health. Dr. Hasan completed her residency at Columbia University, and has been practicing internal medicine in New York for the past decade. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Annette van der Hoeven, MD
Internal Medicine

Dr. Annette van der Hoeven attended Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons to earn her medical degree, and completed her primary care internal medicine residency at New York University. She then spent 6 years on the faculty of Montefiore Hospital and Albert Einstein College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. Her last 10 years were spent in private practice in Westchester County, where she refined her skills and was lauded multiple times as Best Doctor in Westchester. She will focus her attention on what she feels is the most important and rewarding part of practicing medicine: the doctor-patient relationship. Dr. van der Hoeven lives with her husband, children, and two dogs in Northern Westchester. In her spare time she enjoys reading, puzzles, gardening, hiking, and skiing.
